Craig Higginbotham

Craig has had more than 26 years’ experience in law and was a Partner in a number of major Australian Law Firms for more than 17 years.

Craig specialises in Corporate and Commercial Law, Property Law, Insolvency and Restructuring and Commercial Litigation. He has been an Accredited Specialist in Commercial Litigation law since 1998. Over this time, Craig has advised multi nationals and most of Australia’s largest listed public companies in a wide range of areas from business structuring, property acquisition and sales, regulatory issues and Commercial Disputes.

Craig is a skilled negotiator and has conducted thousands of successful negotiations and mediations achieving resolution of disputes for his clients. Craig applies his specialist legal skills in a manner which provides a practical and commercial outcome for his clients.

Luke Guanlao

Luke holds a Bachelor of Laws awarded with honours from Bond University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Griffith University, a Diploma in Information Technology, and has partially complete a Master of Business Administration at Macquarie University, and a Master of Laws at UNSW.

Luke was admitted as an Australian lawyer in 2005, to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and Queensland and has over of 10 years of experience practising law in Australia.

He commenced his career with Australia’s largest law firm, Minter Ellison in their corporate and litigation teams, and later moved to Thomson Playford (now, Thomson Geer).

Luke has since taken on various senior in-house legal roles, including Regional General Counsel – Asia Pacific for an international and UK listed recruitment firm, Senior Legal Counsel – Asia Pacific also for an international UK listed recruitment firm, and Legal & Compliance Manager – for Optus, Australia’s second largest telecommunications company. Luke heads up Teneo Legal’s outsourced legal counsel division.

Catherine Fox

Catherine is an experienced senior litigator with over 16 years’ experience in commercial litigation and dispute resolution including insolvency, commercial and corporate disputes and property related disputes.

She has acted for numerous government and statutory bodies including the Department of Human Services and the Australian Taxation Office for over 10 years. In addition Catherine acts for liquidators, bankruptcy trustees, and private clients. She has also acted for clients in a range of recovery actions including enforcements proceedings for companies, business owners and private clients.

She has also acted for clients in probate disputes and also retail clients in retail lease disputes.

Catherine was admitted to practice as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW on 23 August 2001 after completing her Bachelor of Laws at the University of Technology, Sydney. Since her admission she has completed her Masters of Laws with Corporate and Commercial Law Specialisation at the University of New South Wales.

Catherine also has qualifications in economics and finance, accountancy and corporate governance. She is a Chartered Secretary, CPA and a Notary Public. Prior to her career in law, she worked as a financial and management accountant for 10 years with ASX listed companies.

  • Drafting and enforcing agreements including Deeds of Indemnity and Guarantee;
  • Defending unconscionable conduct claims;
  • Acting for client in Corporations Act 2001 actions including reinstatement proceedings;
  • Acting for developers in building disputes; and,
  • Provide advice and advocate strategies to obtain the best commercial resolution of disputes;
